Overview
The 2022 Dalwhinnie Moonambel Cabernet Sauvignon is a high-altitude Pyrenees red from one of Victoria's most iconic estates. Harvested from the original contour and front gate vineyards on the Dalwhinnie estate, this Cabernet combines cassis, structure and savoury detail with the long-lived elegance expected from Moonambel.
Vintage & Winemaking
Dalwhinnie sits high in the Pyrenees at 595 metres above sea level, in a natural amphitheatre of ancient soils. The estate is known for cool nights, non-irrigated vineyards and Cabernet Sauvignon that ages with remarkable grace.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested from the original contour and front gate vineyard on the Dalwhinnie estate. It was open-top fermented and then pressed directly to French oak barriques for 20 months' maturation.
