Overview

The 2005 Dalwhinnie Moonambel Cabernet Sauvignon is a rare mature Pyrenees Cabernet from one of Victoria's most iconic high-altitude estates. Now showing graceful bottle development, it offers the elegance, resolve and savoury depth that make mature Dalwhinnie Cabernet so compelling.

Vintage & Winemaking

Dalwhinnie's Moonambel vineyard sits at 595 metres above sea level in the Pyrenees, with ancient soils, cool steady nights and a remote amphitheatre-like site. The estate is known for Cabernet Sauvignon that ages with remarkable grace, developing structure, savoury complexity and fine detail over time.

This 2005 release is now beyond its original published drinking window and is best considered a mature, drink-now Cabernet for collectors and lovers of aged Australian red wine.
