The Royal Salute 21 Year Old is a Blended Scotch Whisky created in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
This flagship expression is composed of rare Scotch whiskies aged for a minimum of 21 years. Bottled at 40 % ABV, it represents the signature house style—rich, balanced, and elegantly matured.
Its name references the 21-gun salute, the traditional mark of respect for royalty and state occasions.
About the Distillery
Produced by the Royal Salute Distillery, part of Pernod Ricard Scotch Whisky Ltd, this blend is crafted at Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, Scotland—one of the country’s oldest continuously operating distilleries.
Since 1953, Royal Salute has remained synonymous with luxury and tradition, known for its selection of exceptionally aged malts.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet pears and citrus fruits balanced by autumn florals, vanilla, dry oak, and a subtle touch of sherry.
Palate: Warm orange marmalade and fresh pear followed by spices and hazelnut; light smoky undertone.
Finish: Long, dry, and slightly spicy with a trace of smoke.
