Overview

The 2026 Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley Riesling is a dry, mineral-driven Riesling drawn from selected vineyards across the southern ranges of Eden Valley. Combining High Eden elegance with the richer aromatics of Angaston and Springton, No.4 delivers perfume, structure and finely wound acidity.

Vintage & Winemaking

The 2026 vintage began four weeks later than 2025, following delayed flowering, slow ripening and careful vineyard management. Although almost 90mm of rain fell in 48 hours shortly after harvest began, quick work from growers and the winery preserved quality, resulting in exceptionally pure Riesling expressions.

No.4 is made from selected Eden Valley vineyards, bringing together the acid drive and minerality of Flaxman Valley in High Eden with the flavour intensity and aromatic richness of vineyards near Angaston and Springton.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Intense aromas of fresh lime zest, passionfruit and guava, lifted by floral notes of rosewater, jasmine and elderflower.

Palate

Elegant and structured, with slate-like minerality beneath flavours of finger lime, poached quince and kiwi sorbet.

Finish

Fine, crisp and persistent, driven by tightly wound Eden Valley acidity and lingering fruit purity.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with white fish, pea and mint soup, spicy pizza, chicken salad and Emmental cheese.
