Overview
The 2026 Rieslingfreak No.3 Clare Valley Riesling is a pure, expressive and fruit-driven dry Riesling from the Hughes family vineyard at White Hutt, just north of Clare. Grown on classic Terra Rossa soils, No.3 is known for generous Clare Valley fruit, bright citrus intensity and a long, crisp finish.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2026 vintage began four weeks later than 2025, following a season of delayed flowering, slow ripening and careful vineyard management. Although almost 90mm of rain fell in 48 hours shortly after harvest began, quick work in the vineyard and winery preserved fruit quality, resulting in some of the purest Riesling expressions Rieslingfreak has produced.
No.3 is harvested primarily from the family vineyard at White Hutt in the Clare Valley. The vines grow on heavy red clay soils rich in nutrients, with strong water-holding capacity. These Terra Rossa soils contribute to the rich flavours and generous palate weight that define this wine.
