Overview

Domaine Simha 'Rani' Riesling is a tiny-production Tasmanian Riesling from the Coal River Valley, made in only 60 dozen, or approximately 800 bottles. It is crafted as a pristine, glacially pure expression of cool-climate Riesling, with powerful terroir and long ageing potential.

Domaine Simha, founded by Nav Singh and Louise Radman, is an avant-garde Tasmanian producer working in micro batches. Wines are made by hand using lo-fi techniques, wild fermentation and minimal intervention, with a focus on purity, perfume and natural balance.

Tasting Notes

A mountain of light, awash in diamond brilliance. Fragrant white lotus, fresh rain and lime juice meet cool Makrana marble, beauty, purity and starlight. The style is crystalline, precise and deeply expressive, with fine acidity and a sense of long-lived tension.

Vineyard & Terroir

Single vineyard Riesling from the Coal River Valley in Tasmania, planted in a cool-climate setting at 42.7°S. The site contributes freshness, aromatic lift and glacial mineral purity.

Method Naturel

Handpicked on a fruit day under the harvest moon. The fruit is whole-bunch pressed, wild fermented and rested sur lie for nine months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with natural balance.

Food Pairing

Ideal with white fish, oysters, sashimi, fresh crab, Thai herbs, citrus-dressed seafood and delicate vegetable dishes.
