Overview
Serrat Close Planted Grenache Noir 2025 is a Yarra Valley Grenache from Victoria, Australia, made from the old Barossa clone BVRC38.
The 2025 release is a highly fragrant and detailed cool-climate Grenache, combining red-fruited purity, spice, floral lift and the poised structure that defines Serrat's small-production wines.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2025 season was mild in spring, with good rainfall and soil moisture leading into one of the calmest flowering periods of recent years. Summer was warm, fine and exceptionally long, with no extreme heat and ideal ripening conditions.
The wine comes from the original planting and a portion from the newer planting of the same clone in 2011. Halliday notes 25% whole bunches, 14 days on skins, and maturation in one 600L French cask.
