Serrat Close Planted Grenache Blanc 2025 is a Yarra Valley white wine from Victoria, Australia, made from Serrat's small patch of Grenache Blanc.

The planting is described by Serrat as the first Grenache Blanc planted in the Yarra Valley as far as they are aware, using the Entav 143 clone after a five-year wait for the variety's first release in Australia.

Vintage & Winemaking

The 2025 season was mild in spring, with good rainfall and soil moisture leading into one of the calmest flowering periods of recent years. Summer was warm, fine and exceptionally long, with no extreme heat and ideal ripening conditions.

This wine was fermented in an old 500 litre French oak barrel and bottled in August 2025.

Complex floral honeysuckle with a citrus edge, mineral flinty notes and smoky reductive lift.

Palate

Fine and focused, with depth, weight and a refined line of acidity. Phenolic grip keeps the fruit in balance.

Finish

Lingering and balanced, with mineral drive and a focused finish.

This Grenache Blanc is approachable now, while also having the structure to develop over the next several years.
