Overview
Serrat Close Planted Chardonnay 2025 is a Yarra Valley Chardonnay from Victoria, Australia, produced from the Mendoza block planted in 2007.
The 2025 release continues Serrat's strong run of recent vintages, showing purity, concentration and the finely coiled structure expected from this small Yarra Valley estate.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2025 season was mild in spring, with good rainfall and soil moisture leading into one of the calmest flowering periods of recent years. Summer was warm, fine and exceptionally long, with no extreme heat and ideal ripening conditions.
This wine is 100% from the Mendoza block of Chardonnay. It was naturally barrel fermented with full solids in 500 litre French oak barrels and aged on lees for 11 months. The only addition is SO2, and the wine is bottled unfiltered.
