The 2025 Paringa Estate Peninsula Chardonnay continues the estate’s long-standing reputation as one of Mornington Peninsula’s finest producers of cool-climate Chardonnay. Crafted from estate vines in Red Hill and meticulously selected contract vineyards across the Peninsula, this wine represents Paringa’s benchmark for purity, elegance and regional character. The Peninsula Chardonnay is always a study in restraint and precision — a wine that captures the cool maritime climate and the careful winemaking philosophy of Lindsay McCall and his team.
The 2025 growing season in Mornington Peninsula delivered ideal conditions for Chardonnay: a cool, even ripening phase, moderated by ocean breezes, with excellent fruit set and slow flavour development. These conditions produced grapes with exceptional natural acidity, fine structure and beautifully detailed aromatics.
In the glass, the wine opens with lifted notes of white peach, lemon zest, green apple and nectarine. Subtle layers of jasmine, struck flint and wet stone reflect the region’s volcanic and sedimentary soils. Gentle French oak influence adds whispers of vanilla bean, roasted nuts and subtle spice, providing depth without overshadowing the fruit.
On the palate, the 2025 Peninsula Chardonnay is finely sculpted and energetic. Crisp citrus and stone-fruit flavours glide across a taut, mineral-driven frame, supported by refreshing acidity that gives the wine tension and drive. Texturally refined and beautifully balanced, it finishes long and clean with lingering citrus, chalky minerality and delicate savoury nuances.
This release embodies Paringa Estate’s signature Chardonnay style — elegant, expressive and impeccably judged. Approachable in its youth yet capable of short- to mid-term ageing, it is a versatile and food-friendly wine with broad appeal.
