A balanced, energetic white with restrained oak and enough freshness to enjoy before a meal.

About This Wine

The Steading Blanc comes entirely from Torbreck's Descendant Vineyard at Marananga, first planted in 1994. The official 2024 blend is 53% Roussanne, 45% Marsanne and 2% Viognier.

Roussanne is held in stainless steel, while Marsanne and Viognier undergo indigenous fermentation and spend eight months on fine lees in seasoned and new French oak. This combination builds gentle texture while keeping the wine fresh.

White flowers, stone fruit and ginger lead into a medium-bodied palate with mineral-like acidity. Serve around 10°C with ceviche or Thai seafood salad.
