About the Variety

Marselan is a red French grape variety created in 1961 by Paul Truel near the town of Marseillan in southern France.
It is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache.
Originally cultivated in the Languedoc region, Marselan has since found new expression in China, where it thrives under ideal climatic and soil conditions.
The grape typically produces medium to full-bodied wines with fine tannins, vivid color, and bright, elegant fruit.

This 2024 vintage from Mulando’s M268 vineyard captures the finesse and complexity of Ningxia’s Helan Mountain East region.
The wine opens with aromas of blackberries, cassis, and violets, layered with subtle oak spice and a hint of vanilla.
On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, with ripe fruit, silky tannins, and a long, persistent finish that reflects both power and grace.
