Overview
A remarkable old-vine Chablis from Domaine Moreau-Naudet, Les Pargues Vieilles Vignes delivers Premier Cru-level quality from a beautifully positioned village-appellation vineyard. Sourced from vines planted in 1947, the 2024 vintage combines generous orchard fruit, vibrant acidity and pronounced stony minerality with a long, briny finish. Its concentration, texture and precision reflect the exceptional age of the vines and the distinctive limestone terroir.
Vineyard
Les Pargues is a prized lieu-dit situated on the ridge between the Montmains and Vosgros Premier Cru vineyards, sharing a similar exposure with Vaillons and Montmains. Although classified as Chablis rather than Premier Cru, its position and terroir consistently produce wines of impressive depth and mineral intensity.
The domaine farms approximately 1.8 hectares of old vines planted in 1947. Naturally low yields of just 15â25 hectolitres per hectare contribute remarkable concentration and textural richness, while the stony soils lend the wine its distinctive saline character.
Viticulture & Winemaking
The estate follows organic viticultural practices, with careful soil cultivation, low yields and hand harvesting to preserve fruit quality. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts, reflecting the domaine's traditional approach to winemaking.
The 2024 Les Pargues was vinified predominantly in stainless steel tanks, with approximately 30% matured in neutral oak on lees. This combination enhances texture and complexity without overwhelming the wine's natural freshness and mineral expression. The result is a layered, succulent Chardonnay with excellent energy and a long, saline finish.

Producer
Domaine Moreau-Naudet is a highly regarded family estate in Chablis, celebrated for its richly textured, mineral-driven Chardonnay and commitment to traditional viticulture and winemaking. Stéphane Moreau transformed the estate after taking over in 1993, establishing its reputation through meticulous vineyard management, low yields, natural fermentations and extended ageing on lees.
Following Stéphane's passing in 2016, his wife Virginie Moreau continued the domaine's philosophy. The estate remains dedicated to producing expressive, terroir-driven wines that combine ripe fruit, vibrant acidity and remarkable mineral precision.
