2023 Prosper Maufoux Bourgogne Chardonnay 750ml

Overview

Prosper Maufoux Bourgogne Chardonnay is a fresh and energetic white Burgundy made from Chardonnay parcels in the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais. The 2023 offers a charming aromatic profile of floral notes, citrus and exotic fruit, with a lively palate and clean, persistent freshness.

Vineyard

The Chardonnay is selected from parcels in the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais. Clay-limestone soils contribute freshness and allow the variety to retain both aromatic expression and mineral definition.

Winemaking

Immediately after harvest, the grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press. The juice undergoes static settling for 24 hours at 12°C before being transferred to stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation and maturation all take place in stainless steel.

The wine is matured for 10 months in stainless steel tanks, with no oak ageing, preserving freshness and the purity of the Chardonnay fruit.
