Crafted by Xige Estate, this single-vineyard release showcases the estate’s commitment to precision viticulture, contemporary winemaking, and terroir-driven wines from the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains.
The vineyard benefits from Ningxia’s unique high-altitude continental climate, where abundant sunshine, low rainfall, and dramatic day-to-night temperature variation promote slow ripening and exceptional flavour concentration while preserving freshness and natural acidity. The 2023 vintage delivered excellent fruit purity and balance, producing a Chardonnay of both elegance and structure.
In the winery, grapes were hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed before fermentation in French oak barrels, followed by extended lees ageing to build texture and complexity. Oak handling is restrained and carefully integrated, allowing the vineyard’s mineral character and fruit precision to remain at the forefront.
The wine reveals expressive aromas of white peach, pear, citrus blossom, and lemon curd, layered with subtle notes of hazelnut, flint, vanilla, and delicate oak spice. The palate is finely textured and beautifully balanced, driven by vibrant acidity and a mineral-laced backbone that carries through to a long, elegant finish.
