About This Wine

The Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series wines are made from fruit grown exclusively on the Hay Shed Hill estate in Margaret River. Planted in the early 1970s, the vineyard produces low yields of outstanding fruit from mature, non-irrigated vines.

The 2023 vintage followed a wet winter and mild spring, with a slower, steady ripening season. Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested at modest potential alcohol with full flavour, colour and tannin development.

Tasting Notes

An intense and rich bouquet led by ripe cassis and berry fruits, with distinctive notes of dark chocolate and mint. The palate is fleshy and full through the mid-palate, showing dark cherry and blackcurrant flavours with ample fruit weight and concentration in a classic Margaret River style.
