Overview

A compelling single-vineyard Shiraz from Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley, presented in the highly desirable 1.5L Magnum format. The 2023 Seven Acre combines pure blueberry, boysenberry and plum fruit with savoury complexity, fine-grained tannins and impressive freshness. Awarded 95 points by Halliday Wine Companion, this is a powerful yet balanced Greenock Creek release with serious long-term cellaring potential.

Vineyard

Seven Acre is a single-vineyard Shiraz from Seppeltsfield, grown on bluestone soils. The distinctive site underpins a wine of concentrated fruit depth, savoury complexity and structural definition.

Winemaking

The wine was matured for 18 months in French oak, including 25% new oak.

Critic Reviews

95 Points — Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
“Single-vineyard, Seppeltsfield-born shiraz off bluestone soils, matured for 18 months in French oak, 25% new. Beautifully pure blueberry, boysenberry and plum fruits cut with baking spices, Christmas cake, citrus blossom, fruit-and-nut chocolate, vanillin oak, pan juices and olive tapenade. There's the tang of something ferrous on the palate and that blue fruit is heady and pure. This has fine-grained tannins and a sense of freshness as the wine slowly retreats.”
