Overview
The 2023 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet is a village-level white Burgundy from one of the Côte de Beaune's benchmark Chardonnay producers. Sourced from multiple Puligny-Montrachet lieux-dits, it captures the domaine's signature balance of floral lift, mineral precision and refined oak-cask texture.
Vintage & Winemaking
The wine comes from clay-limestone soils across Les Houlières, Les Brelances, La Rue Aux Vaches, Les Tremblots, Les Nosroyes and Les Reuchaux, covering 3.58 hectares. The Chardonnay grapes are farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand, with sorting and parcel-by-parcel ripeness monitoring.
Winemaking includes long, gentle pneumatic pressing, 24-hour decanting and transfer to oak casks. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in oak, followed by 12 months of ageing in barrels on lees and a further 10 months in stainless steel tank on fine lees.
