RWT, meaning “Red Winemaking Trial,” represents Penfolds’ distinctly Barossa-focused Shiraz philosophy, emphasising pure regional fruit expression and maturation in French oak rather than the American oak style associated with Grange. Sourced exclusively from premium Barossa Valley Shiraz vineyards, the 2022 vintage delivered fruit of exceptional richness, balance, and structural refinement.

In the winery, small-batch fermentation and careful extraction preserved depth and texture while maintaining freshness and precision.
