This single-block Shiraz comes from 49-year-old vines rooted in ancient dark grey slaty siltstone enriched with ironstone rubble, situated on a southwest-facing slope at 120m elevation. Named after Jill Cant, the former owner, the JC Block was the first vineyard block Stephen worked with as Chief Red Winemaker at Hardy’s.

Deep and complex, it evokes dusky red fruits, cherry, iron, licorice, tar, and dried herbs, all supported by fine, grapey tannins.
