The 2022 Elderton Command Shiraz 1.5L Magnum Wooden Box is a special large-format release of Elderton’s flagship Command Shiraz from Barossa Valley. Presented in a wooden box, this 1.5L Magnum is suited to collectors, gifting, cellaring, and special occasions.

Command Shiraz is one of Elderton’s most recognised premium red wines, produced from old Shiraz vines in Nuriootpa. The wine is known for its depth, concentration, regional power, and long-term ageing potential.

The 2022 release shows spiced red fruit with hints of spicy oak, supported by a deep crimson appearance and a concentrated, structured palate. Dark fruit depth, oak complexity, and long tannins give the wine both immediate presence and cellar-worthy strength.

The Command vineyard is harvested over several picks to achieve balance. Fermentation includes extended time on skins, with selected parcels fermented separately before pressing to oak for maturation and final barrel selection.

The wine was matured for 24 months in new French and American oak puncheons. In 1.5L Magnum format, this release offers strong presentation and excellent cellaring appeal.
