Vintage & Winemaking

Later budburst helped the Mercurey vineyards avoid the last April frosts. Summer heatwaves were interrupted by useful rain, allowing the grapes to reach a balance of sugar and acidity by late August. The domaine’s harvest ran from 25 August to 3 September.

About the Producer

François Raquillet took over the family domaine with Emmanuelle in 1990, following generations of winegrowing in Mercurey. Lower yields and close attention to barrel quality shaped his approach. Their daughter Jeanne joined in 2018 and now leads red-wine vinification, continuing the family’s work in the appellation.
