Overview
CĹur de Roy Très Vieilles Vignes is one of Domaine Dugat-Pyâs benchmark Gevrey-Chambertin cuvĂŠes, combining the concentration of exceptionally old Pinot Noir vines with the domaineâs powerful yet increasingly refined modern style. The 2022 vintage offers depth, structure and mineral definition, balanced by vivid red fruit and floral lift.
Vineyard
The cuvĂŠe is drawn from very old Pinot Noir vines in Gevrey-Chambertin, with vines ranging from approximately 50 to more than 100 years of age. Fruit comes from several parcels including Les Epointures, Combe du Dessus, Jouise and Les Marchais. The domaine has practised organic vineyard management for many years, with an emphasis on low yields, massal selection and careful cultivation of its old-vine holdings.
Winemaking
For the 2022 vintage, approximately two-thirds of the fruit was fermented as whole clusters. The wine was matured in cask with around 40% new oak, reflecting the domaineâs move toward a more measured use of new oak while retaining the concentration and structure associated with Dugat-Py.

Producer
Domaine Dugat-Py is based in Gevrey-Chambertin and is recognised for deeply concentrated, age-worthy Burgundy produced from extensive holdings of old vines. The domaine was formed in 1979 through the marriage of Bernard Dugat and Jocelyne Py, bringing together their family vineyard holdings. Today the estate produces wines across Gevrey-Chambertin and several other CĂ´te dâOr appellations, with a strong focus on organic viticulture, low yields and old-vine Pinot Noir.
