2021 Roagna Solea Langhe DOC 750ml

The 2021 Roagna Solea is a white wine from the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, made from an unusual blend of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Nebbiolo. It is described as a complex, structured, and elegant white with aromatic notes of white peach, lemon zest, wildflowers, and almond, balanced by a vibrant acidity and a mineral-driven, nutty finish. The wine is fermented and aged in large oak barrels, offering a creamy texture with hints of wood and a tension between richness and freshness. 

"Near the new cellar, in the mention owned exclusively by our family, we have a Chardonnay vineyard, which we use for the production of Solea, together with a percentage of Nebbiolo. Fermentation takes place exclusively in wooden vats using a pied de cuve made from indigenous yeasts and lasts about ten days. The wine ages in a neutral oak barrel for about two years." - Roagna
