Overview
The 2021 Dicey The Inlet Vineyard Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard Bannockburn Pinot Noir from a river terrace above the Bannockburn Inlet. Planted in 2002, The Inlet sits on loess over deep clay gravels, producing a Pinot Noir with depth, perfume and supple structural flow.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2021 season was warmer than normal with lower yields, producing clean, concentrated fruit. The wine was made from clones 6, 777 and 115, with 7.5% whole bunch. Fermented with indigenous yeast, it spent 21 days on skins before maturation for 14 months in well-seasoned barrels. Natural malolactic fermentation occurred in spring, and the wine was bottled without fining in August 2022.

Cellaring Potential
Drinking from 2024 to 2034, with the concentration and structure to continue developing in cellar.
