Critic tasting note: (2020 vintage) "The outstanding 2020 Henschke ‘Marble Angel Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Barossa Valley and was stored in large French oak (14% new) for 18 months prior to bottling. This is dense and delicious Cabernet with sagebrush and crushed mint aromas that combine with cassis, and shades of black licorice. A single-vineyard cabernet sauvignon from Light Pass in the Barossa Valley, matured in French oak (33% new) for 18 months. Deep crimson with lifted aromas of red and blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry fruits with underlying hints of fine spice, red and purple flowers, rosehip, light sous bois, pastis, licorice, cedar and earth. Nicely focused with fine tannin and good sustain and elegant fruit depth on the finish. 93 points, Wine Companion (March 2023)
