Overview

Pio Cesare Il Bricco di Treiso is a limited Barbaresco DOCG made from a meticulous selection of the ripest Nebbiolo grapes from three plots in the highest part of the family's Cascina Il Bricco vineyard in Treiso.

The Il Bricco vineyard sits at high elevation and benefits from a cool climate, giving a Barbaresco of power, freshness and structure. The 2019 vintage is rich, spicy and firmly built, with ripe fruit, sweet tannins and long ageing potential.

Vineyard

The fruit is sourced from three selected plots within Cascina Il Bricco, a family-owned vineyard in Treiso. The site's high elevation and cool growing conditions contribute aromatic clarity, firm tannin and the tension needed for long cellar life.

Winemaking

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at relatively high temperatures, with skin contact and maceration for 30 days. The wine is aged in large French oak botti for about 30 months, with a small portion matured in barriques.

A precise and emblematic Barbaresco showing red plum, blood orange, cedar, white flowers, mandarin leaf, vetiver and coriander. Full bodied, with velvety tannins and classic beauty, balance and persistence. Best from 2026.

Subtle, pure and pretty, with dark cherry, warm fruit, sweet spice, earth and leather. Fine yet present tannins finish with lifted acidity. Enjoy from 2025-2045.

Bright ruby red, with cinnamon, ripe raspberry and sealing wax. Elegant and polished on the palate, with tight tannins, fine salinity and a very long finish.
