Overview

Lamy-Caillat Chassagne-Montrachet is a rare white Burgundy from one of Chassagne's smallest and most closely followed producers. Founded in 2011 by Sébastien Caillat and Florence Lamy, the domaine produces a tiny collection of Chardonnay wines with long élevage, direct barrel bottling and no filtration.

The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet comes from a parcel located just above Les Caillerets, where the slightly more easterly exposure brings cooler conditions and produces a pure, straight and finely shaped expression of Chardonnay.

Vineyard & Terroir

The parcel sits just above the celebrated Les Caillerets site. Its cooler exposure helps preserve freshness and line, giving the wine clarity, tension and a precise Chassagne-Montrachet profile.

Winemaking

The fruit is mechanically pressed, then matured for 24 months in oak. The wine is hand bottled directly from barrel with no filtration, in keeping with the domaine's patient, low-intervention approach.
