Sourced from the oldest vines within the Pajé vineyard in Barbaresco, this wine represents Roagna’s deep commitment to preserving historic vine genetics and site expression. The vines are over 50 years old and deeply rooted in calcareous marl soil, contributing to the wine’s exceptional complexity and structure.

Viticulture and Winemaking

Practicing organic viticulture, Roagna harvests fruit manually at optimal ripeness. Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts, followed by a long maceration lasting up to 80 days. The wine is then matured in large neutral oak botti for over five years. Bottling is done without fining or filtration to preserve purity and terroir character.

Nose: Intensely perfumed, with aromas of rose petals, crushed cherries, fresh herbs, orange rind, and subtle earth

Palate: Focused and vibrant, offering red currant, dried cranberry, mineral-laced acidity, and firm yet finely integrated tannins. Delicate floral tones and a persistent finish define its elegance
