“There’s beautiful richness and symphonic completeness from the outset… Oyster shell, citrus and stone fruit, together with flint, chalk and hints of pastry… Best from 2026.”

About This Wine
Les Clos is planted in three phases: one quarter in 1963, one half in 1976 and one quarter in 1989, on Kimmeridgian marl soils mixed with stone, limestone and clay. The southwest-facing slope forms a 0.5-hectare parcel. In 2018, frost losses were avoided and the growing season progressed from normal to hot and dry. Light summer rain revived vines under hydric stress, leading to good fruit balance and ultimately an abundant crop. Harvest began on August 30 and lasted seven days, with fruit appearing exceptionally clean and yields averaging 75 hl/ha.
About the Winery
Domaine François Raveneau holds 10 hectares across three Grand Cru and six Premier Cru sites, including parcels in Blanchot, Les Clos and Valmur, as well as Montée de Tonnerre, Les Vaillons, Butteaux, Chapelot, Montmains and Forêt.
