2015 St Hallett Old Block Shiraz 750ml

The 2015 St Hallett Old Block Shiraz is one of the Barossa Valley’s benchmark old-vine Shiraz wines, produced from carefully selected mature vineyards across the Barossa and Eden Valleys.

Old Block has been produced since 1980 and is known for combining traditional Barossa richness with elegance, freshness and excellent ageing potential. The old vines provide naturally low yields, concentrated fruit and impressive depth of flavour.

The 2015 vintage delivers aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum with violet, pepper, dried herbs and subtle spice. With bottle age, the wine is developing more complex notes of leather, earth, dark chocolate and savoury spice.

The palate is rich yet refined, with concentrated dark fruit supported by fine tannins and balanced acidity. Savoury complexity and well-integrated oak lead to a long, elegant finish.

Now more than a decade from vintage, the 2015 Old Block is entering an excellent drinking stage while retaining the structure to continue developing under good cellaring conditions.
