95/100 — Jane Faulkner, James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion · 2013 Vintage
“The beautiful label, traditional brown bottle, and the wine within, all have an allure. It's the richness and depth of the tannin structure - velvety and ripe, the suppleness on the palate, the savoury thread with coffee grounds, pepper, bitumen and yes oak but everything in its place plus its heady perfume with florals and red plums. Drink by 2036.”

“Dense and dark ruby, deep core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Fine nougat, dark berry confit, fine eucalyptus and strawberry confit touch in the background. Juicy, pure heart cherries, fine fruitiness, ripe tannins, good acidity, approachable style, versatile, already well accessible.”
