About This Wine

Intriguing nose layered with dense dark fruits, charcuterie, spice & cocoa. The palate is soft but rich with plum, boysenberry, allspice and charred oak characters.

The structure and density of flavours make this the ideal wine to lay in the cellar for a decade or two.

Hand picked, hand pruned old vines. Open fermented, basket pressed and matured on lees in new French oak.

Four years in barrel. Four years in bottle. Eight years in the making.

About the Producer

In 1979, Dennis Canute and sixth generation Barossa grape grower Christine purchased a rundown vineyard in Vine Vale and decided to rejuvenate the old Shiraz and Grenache grandfather vines.

Next-generation grower/winemaker Christian Canute is proud of this unique vineyard and makes sure its personality speaks clearly through each wine that bears the Rusden label.
