Description

Dan Standish, a sixth-generation Barossan, founded his namesake winery in 1999 while still serving as winemaker at Torbreck Vintners. His journey began with an ancient Shiraz vineyard owned and tended by his father. Each fruit batch is individually fermented and aged, followed by a meticulous selection process that can lead to as much as 80% of the blend being discarded and sold in bulk. Only the finest selections earn a place under the Standish Wine Company label, akin to top European producers.

Danā€™s wines, crafted from old Barossa Valley vines, offer a richness and depth typical of the region, yet are set apart by a silky texture and captivating perfume. Dark fruits mingle with cocoa, earthiness, subtle spice, hints of soil, asphalt, and stony minerality, giving the wines a remarkable complexity. These are truly exceptional Australian wines.
