Expert tasting note: (2008 vintage) "Medium ruby-red colour, but dark pigmentation. Restrained cassis aromas show a creamy cocoa butter note and lovely vanilla. Blackcurrant fruit on the palate is overwhelmed by plentiful fine oak. The palate is elegant fresh & clean with a slight touch of bitterness from the oak. Acidity is good & fresh while the alcohol adds just a touch of warmth to round out the finish." - 11/12 DCAMW
