Overview

Ares sits at the pinnacle of Two Hands Wines' Shiraz production, representing a rigorous selection of the finest Barossa Valley Shiraz barrels produced each vintage. Named after Ares, the bold and powerful Greek God of War, this flagship wine is built around concentration, depth and power while retaining elegance and vibrancy. The 2007 vintage received 95 points from Wine Spectator.

Winemaking

Each year, Two Hands assesses approximately 1,500 barrels of Shiraz in search of the finest parcels for Ares. Only a handful of barrels make the selection. These are matured for 18 months in new and one-year-old French oak before being tasted again, with only the best barrels retained for the final blend.
