The Hoffmann family has supplied fruit to Rockford for decades, with the vineyard's ancient vines producing Shiraz of remarkable concentration, structure, and regional character. Situated in the northern Barossa sub-region of Ebenezer, the vineyard is renowned for delivering wines with exceptional depth, dark fruit intensity, and extraordinary longevity.
The outstanding 2005 vintage provided ideal growing conditions, allowing the fruit to achieve excellent ripeness while retaining balance and freshness. Traditional Rockford winemaking techniques were employed throughout production, including open fermentation, basket pressing, and maturation in seasoned oak, allowing the vineyard character to remain the focal point.
