“The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the finest red wines I have yet tasted from Katnook Estate. It reveals textbook weedy/black currant aromas intermixed with high quality toasty wood, followed by rich, medium to full-bodied flavors that unfold on the palate with considerable precision and purity. Although not a blockbuster, it is a concentrated, authoritatively-flavored, finesse-styled Cabernet that should drink well for 10-12 years.”
