The 1992 Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz is a mature Coonawarra release from one of Penfolds' classic regional Bin wines. First created in 1962, Bin 128 was developed as a cool-climate counterpoint to the richer Bin 28 Shiraz, giving collectors a clear view of Penfolds' long-running interest in regional Shiraz expression.

Tasting Notes

Medium-deep crimson. Complex redcurrant, ferric and graphite aromas appear with a touch of toffee. The palate is well-concentrated, showing redcurrant, rusty savoury flavours and spice, with lacy, dry, chalky tannins, walnut notes and a firm finish.

Food Pairing

Pair with roast lamb, duck, game, braised beef, mushroom dishes or aged hard cheeses.
