The 1990 Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz is a mature Coonawarra release from one of Penfolds' classic regional Bin wines. A classic Bin 128 with ripe blackberry, earthy and panforte aromas, chalky firm tannins, fruit sweetness and underlying savoury notes.

Tasting Notes

Medium-deep crimson. Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, graphite and demi-glace are layered with leafy tobacco and celery leaf notes. The palate is concentrated and savoury, showing blackberry, raspberry, demi-glace and meaty flavours, with fine chalky tannins and a supple, sweet-fruited mid-palate.

Food Pairing

Pair with roast lamb, duck, game, mushroom dishes, braised beef or aged hard cheeses.
