From the legendary Pauillac estate in Bordeaux, Château Lafite Rothschild’s 1983 vintage reflects the finesse and longevity this First Growth is renowned for. Despite a challenging vintage with variable weather, careful vineyard management and selection enabled Lafite to produce a wine of structure and aging potential.

Tasting Profile

Appearance: Garnet-brick with a translucent rim, showing maturity.

Nose: An elegant bouquet of dried roses, cedar, cigar box, graphite, and subtle red currants. Notes of leather, forest floor, and sandalwood add layered complexity.

Palate: Medium-bodied with refined tannins. Flavors of cherry skin, tobacco leaf, dried herbs, and earthy minerality unfold gently. The wine remains balanced and graceful, with a lingering, savory finish.

Finish: Silky and persistent, with notes of spice, truffle, and faded red fruit.

Cellaring & Drinkability
