The 1981 Penfolds St Henri Shiraz is a rare and distinguished release from one of Penfolds’ most historic labels. Crafted in the traditional style, St Henri is matured in large seasoned oak vats, allowing the fruit and vineyard character to take centre stage rather than being dominated by new oak.

Now with over four decades of careful cellaring, this vintage reveals a complex and evolved bouquet of dark berries, dried plum, leather, tobacco, earth and savoury spice. The palate is supple and layered, with softened tannins and lingering flavours of blackberry, cocoa, cedar and subtle herbal notes. Elegant and beautifully balanced, it reflects both the Penfolds house style and the longevity that has made St Henri a collector’s treasure.

Serving & Pairing
