Collection: Iggy Wines

Igor, fondly known as Iggy, is a Slovenian-born winemaker with over two decades of experience. His passion for wine was sparked in childhood, helping his grandfather “Deda” in the vineyard—an early foundation that shaped his lifelong journey in viticulture.

After completing his university studies, Iggy refined his craft working with renowned wineries across Australia and internationally, including Domaine Jean-Louis Chave in France, Jonata in California, and Villa Maria in New Zealand. These diverse experiences have deeply influenced his approach to winemaking.

Now based in South Australia, Iggy dedicates his time to both the cellar and vineyard, restoring a historic Eden Valley site and pioneering the Slovenian Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) variety in the cool-climate Adelaide Hills—its first crop harvested in 2023.

Open-minded and driven by curiosity, Iggy embraces cultural and wine diversity with equal enthusiasm. His philosophy: “Do good, love passionately, eat a variety of foods, drink good wine, laugh loudly, repeat.”
