Barocke Wucht!
2011 Vintage – 93 Points, Falstaff
Tasted September 2016
A very charming trace of oxidative patina (which tends to fade rather than strengthen with standing time in the glass), Marsala, fig compote, but also fresh motifs: blueberry, liquorice. Oily and mild on the palate, quite rounded with very fine, flatteringly matured tannin.
2012 Vintage – 96 Points, Jeremy Oliver
Tasted January 2013
Drinking Window: 2024–2032
2013 Vintage – 94 Points, Jeremy Oliver
Tasted January 2014

2013 Vintage – 93 Points, Falstaff
Tasted October 2017
Dense and dark ruby, deep core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Fine nougat, dark berry confit, fine eucalyptus and strawberry confit touch in the background. Juicy, pure heart cherries, fine fruitiness, ripe tannins, good acidity, approachable style, versatile, already well accessible.
