Awards, Ratings & Reviews

95/100 — Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion · 2024 Vintage · Published: 10 June 2025
“Quite a hedonistic offering with gorgeous cherry fruit that comes all spiced up and matched to supple, fine tannins and driving acidity. It starts with heady aromatics, rhubarb compote and nutty, woodsy, charry oak while a flood of sweet fruit flows across the fuller-bodied palate. Highly enjoyable in this youthful stage but will garner more complexity in time.”

95/100 — James Suckling · 2024 Vintage · Published: 10 July 2025
“Perfumed aromas of blackberries, cocoa, dried rose petals, herbs, blueberry bush, dark cherries and spices. The palate is medium-bodied with refined tannins and bright acidity that bring a juicy, fresh nature to the already expressive palate. Polished and pure, with a seamless finish and some Old-World charm. Drink or hold. Screw cap.”

95/100 — Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front · 2024 Vintage · Published: 18 August 2025
“Excellent pinot noir. This is a wine of controlled power, its cherry-plum flavours served both fresh and substantial, its spice notes splashed liberally, its smoke and cedar characters presented at their seductive best. Tannin curls with well-crafted authority, and the finish is prosecuted in full. No room for doubt here.”

95/100 — Huon Hooke, The Real Review · 2024 Vintage · Published: 24 September 2025
“Deep-ish colour and a wonderful bouquet of dark cherry and more earthy, meaty, undergrowth notes. Rich and fleshy, fruit-sweet at the core and nicely concentrated with silken tannins that are perfectly harmonised. Excellent pinot noir now and for years to come.”

About This Wine

The 2024 season in Mornington Peninsula was influenced by La Niña conditions, delivering a fine and early ripening vintage with low yields and high-quality fruit.

Fruit was handpicked between 20th February and 4th March, with each parcel handled separately. Whole berries were transferred to oak fermentation vats for natural fermentation, with 10% whole bunch inclusion.

Following fermentation, the wine was matured in French 500L oak barrels (20% new) and left undisturbed until estate bottling in January 2025.

Producer Notes

A bright crimson.

Aromas of red fruits - strawberry, raspberry, red currant, coupled with a floral and spicy note.

The palate has layers of fine grained and silky tannins. It is intense and full, with layers of flavour and texture leading to a long, lingering finish.
