The 2024 Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir is a benchmark expression of Tasmanian cool-climate winemaking. From the Coal River Valleyās limestone-rich soils, this wine embodies precision, fragrance, and structureāhallmarks that have made Tolpuddle one of Australiaās most celebrated single-vineyard Pinot Noirs.
Vineyard and Winemaking
The Tolpuddle Vineyard, planted in 1988, sits on gently sloping northeast-facing sites in the Coal River Valley, where a long, cool growing season produces fruit of exceptional balance and natural acidity. Handpicked grapes were destemmed with a small proportion of whole bunches to enhance perfume and complexity. Fermentation occurred in open-top stainless steel vats, followed by maturation in fine-grained French oak barriques (about one-third new) for texture and subtle spice.
Tasting Notes
Lifted aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and rose petal mingle with notes of spice, cedar, and forest floor. The palate is finely structured and layered, revealing red berry fruit, savoury herbs, and delicate earthiness. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity lead to a long, persistent finish of purity and poise.

Elegant, precise, and deeply expressive, the 2024 vintage highlights the energy and transparency of Tasmaniaās cool climate. It balances intensity with restraint, offering both immediate charm and long-term cellaring potential.
