The 2024 Craggy Range Le Sol Syrah is a flagship Syrah from the Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, and one of Craggy Range’s most prestigious and age-worthy wines.

Le Sol is produced from carefully selected Syrah grown on the warm, free-draining stony soils of the Gimblett Gravels. These distinctive soils encourage low yields and concentrated fruit while the Hawke’s Bay climate allows Syrah to develop exceptional flavour intensity, fragrance and structure.

The 2024 vintage displays expressive aromas of blackberry, blueberry and dark plum, complemented by violet, cracked black pepper, dried herbs and savoury spice.

The palate is concentrated yet refined, with layers of dark berry fruit supported by fresh acidity and fine, structured tannins. Notes of pepper, spice, earth and subtle oak add complexity, leading to a long, powerful and elegant finish.

Le Sol combines the intensity expected from Gimblett Gravels Syrah with remarkable perfume and precision. While impressive in its youth, the 2024 has the concentration and structure to develop considerable complexity with long-term cellaring.
