“Glowing translucent pale green. The bouquet has impressive intensity, with the faintest dusting of coconut. This is from barrel. A very concentration intense white apple fruit, with more wood behind. This is still too young to give a real sense of where it will get to, but clearly there is fine potential. Drink from 2030.”

“The 2022 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a bright and lively bouquet, quite effervescent with candied orange peel, lemon zest, crushed stone and linden flowers. A lot of energy here. The palate is very well balanced with a touch of wild honey on the entry. This seems to have cohered a little more since last year, lightly spiced with a touch of white pepper on the aftertaste. Wonderful.”

About the Winery
Founded in 1895, Domaine Gérard Duplessis is a family-run estate located in the heart of Chablis. Today, the domaine is managed by Lilian Duplessis and farms 9 hectares across Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru sites.
The vineyards have been cultivated organically since 2007, achieving certification in 2013, and now incorporate biodynamic practices.
Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru vineyards are planted on Kimmeridgian limestone soils, while Petit Chablis parcels sit on Portlandian limestone.
