The 2019 Giant Steps Tarraford Vineyard Chardonnay is a refined single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley, showcasing the freshness, precision and complexity for which Giant Steps is renowned.

Tarraford Vineyard is located in the cool Yarra Valley and benefits from a sheltered site and distinctive soils. The vineyard produces Chardonnay with excellent natural acidity, mineral character and impressive ageing potential.

The 2019 vintage shows aromas of white peach, citrus, nectarine and green apple, complemented by subtle notes of almond, toast, flint and spice.

The palate is elegant and finely structured, combining ripe stone fruit and citrus with bright acidity and a creamy, textural mid-palate. Subtle oak and savoury complexity add depth without overwhelming the fruit, leading to a long, fresh and mineral finish.

With several years of bottle development, the 2019 Tarraford Vineyard Chardonnay is drinking beautifully now, while well-cellared bottles should continue to develop additional complexity.
