About This Wine

Lake's Folly Cabernets is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Shiraz made from low-yielding, estate-grown, hand-picked fruit.

Season - Excellent growing conditions; some late rain.

Producer Notes

Colour - Brick red. Nose - Aromas of dark fruits, black cherry and blackberry, with hints of charred oak and coffee. Palate - The palate is deceptive in that it is elegant but has definite underlying power. Recent tastings have proven this wine improves after being opened for a day or event longer, which confirms my thoughts that it will open up into something special in a few years' time, and have great longevity as usual.
